The owner of a commercial building on Cherry Street is suing a second-floor medical services business for nonpayment of rent, court records show.
The original 2012 lease between Cherry Street West LLC and Medical Aesthetics LLC companies owned by New Canaan residents started in 2012 and, after an oral extension, expired in the fall of 2017, according to a revised complaint filed Dec. 23 in state Superior Court.
Yet the tenant at 156 Cherry St. failed to pay rent and on Sept. 2020, the plaintiff moved to evict the company, according to the complaint, filed on behalf of the property owner by attorneys Michael Jones and Sean Hamill of Greenwich-based Ivey, Barnum & O’Mara.
