So, the Employability Network, organized by the Social Development Council of Cornwall and Area, has partnered with several local organizations to offer virtual sessions – in English and French – to prepare for returning to the workforce during challenging times.

“Even in a shutdown, there are plenty of jobs available,” Carilyne Hébert, the SDC executive director, said in an interview on Friday morning.
But, as the pandemic continues, many people are choosing not to return to the workforce; there are several reasons for that, Hébert said, and one is safety concerns. When the sessions are offered in mid-May, it’s one of the topics that will be addressed. ....
