Tsutsumi Rai, 21, an exchange student from Japan who studies at Pai Chai University in Daejeon, was crowned the winner of the K-Pop World Audition - the highlight of the Cheonan K-Culture Expo that wrapped up on Sunday in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
More than 1,000 people from 22 countries - including Turkey, Russia and South Africa - applied for the K-Pop World Audition, a K-pop song and dance competition to be held at the Cheonan K-Culture Expo running from Wednesday to Sunday.

The Cheonan K-culture Expo, an iconic event capturing the essence of Korean cultural content, will take place at the Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, from May 22 to 26.
