Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has also invited bids for the construction of the depot. The depot is expected to come up across a 69-acre plot in Madhavaram Milk Colony. The depot is likely to come up in less than three years. As per the latest tender floated by the government, 19 tenders have been floated by the metro rail corporation for the construction of the 118.9 km phase-2 lines and two depots. ....
