On Wednesday, a settlement was reached between Chilton County Schools Superintendent Jason Griffin and Chilton County employees, Christie Payne and Shellie Smith, after nearly two years of deliberation over repeated payroll mistakes.
Chilton County Schools made the mistake of putting the wrong salaries on some of its workers, who are now asked to agree to a payment plan or incur interest if they cannot pay it back.
