After their arrival from South Africa, the 12 cheetahs were served food and water. In the last 46 hours, a team of doctors went to the quarantine enclosures six times for health checkups of the cheetahs, in which they were found to be physically and mentally fit.
The eldest of the twelve cheetahs that were flown into Madhya Pradesh is an eight year-and-three-month-old male, while the youngest is a female which has completed two years and four months, officials said.
The second batch of 12 cheetahs will embark on the journey to Madhya Pradesh s Kuno National Park from the O R Tambo International Airport in Gauteng on Friday evening.
