He entered this world on November 8, 1924 in Birmingham, AL, born to Fred and Agnes Fannin. He is survived by his daughter, Vicky Kuruc; son, Fred Fannin; daughter, Susan Scribner and husband, Jeff; son, Michael Fannin and wife, Donna. He also leaves a brother, Robert Fannin, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Byron was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patsy Wilson Fannin and grandson, Richard James Jr. He also leaves behind his friends at The Joy Center and especially Ruby Hendricks and Mary Lou Torres who became close friends.

She passed peacefully into Heaven on December 30, 2020 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Ruth Gallegos Archuleta, Chris Gallegos, Teresa Redwine, and Louise Brustle, Brothers in-law Larry Blanchard and Jim Redwine. She is survived by daughters Cynthia Claiborne (Tony) of Seattle, WA, Sharla Hernandez (Minerva) of Santa Fe, NM, Morene Wagner (Randy) of Roswell, NM. Five grandchildren; Christopher Claiborne (Jiayi), Michael Claiborne, Lauren Davis (Jordan), Nikki Wagner, and Joshua Wagner; Sister Jo Blanchard; Brother and Sister in-law Carlos and Pauline Hernandez and Sister in-law Irene Gallegos as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on January 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 115 West 11th Street, Roswell, NM with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons, Blake Carpenter, Eddy Mac Carpenter, Michael McClain, Hobie McClain, Nigal Carpenter and Tony Carpenter. Honorary pallbearer is Cody Carpenter. On November 16,1933, Nona Lorraine Graves was born to Henry Allyson and Lola Lucille Graves in Oregon. She was one of eight children. She married Billy Vernon Carpenter on April 14,1954. They had three children, Eddy, Kimberly and Allyson.
