During these extraordinary times, The Beat starts right now. Hi, happy mondayy. Thank you, nicole. Hi, welcome to The Beat. Harris turning it up against trump to a debate. Trump is going down on the claims. It is a sign that both of these candidates harris got more out of the Debate And Trump should agree because they should debate with so much less to discuss. I would like another debate. I am hoping the former Vice President will agree to that. We have a lot more to discuss. Join me on the debate stage. Lets have another debate. There is more to talk about. The voters of america deserve to hear the conversations that i think we should be having on substance, on issues, on policies, what is your plan, what is my plan, and we can have another one before election day. It is showing that there is a lot of support for our message and what we need to do in terms of moving forward and charting a new way forward and dispensing with all of the attempts to divide our country and to just, reall
To identify and remove any deceptive material. It is the first state in the nation to pass such legislation. Is it the new benchmark . Some of this stuff obviously fake, some of it designed to poke fun. But look how these ai memes of cats and ducks powered the pet eating Rumour Mill in america with dangerous consequences. It is a problem too in china. How does the Communist Party retain social order, in a world where the message can be manipulated . Beijing is pushing for all alto be watermarked. And is putting the onus on the creators. And from politics to branding theres no bigger brand than taylor swift. Hijacked by the former president , who shared fakes images of her fans, endorsing him, it affects us all. With me as ever in the studio our regular commentators and ai presenter stephanie hare. And from washington our good friend Miles Taylor who worked in national security advising the former trump administration. We will talk to them both in a second. But before we do that we are
I just want to take you to central london, where a Security Conference is taking place. Among the speakers at the the event are william burns, head of the cia, and sir Richard Moore, head of mi6. Two big names. They have already been talking about two big names. They have already been talking about the war in ukraine and they have also just been talking about the Middle East, so what we are going to do is take a listen into what they are saying to the audience that is at an event organised by the ft. A very highly fragile price in the Middle East, but all the risk to go with that, and we have navigated, touch wood, touch wood, past a Crisis Point between israel and iran, but as long as we dont get to a ceasefire, that risk is there, and for all the horror of gaza, and for all the horror of gaza, a wider conflict in the Middle East would be vastly worse. figs East would be vastly worse. As Ou East would be vastly worse. As you both know, in negotiations, you both know, in negotiations,
Wire. Polls are razor tight. Will the debate be the Make Or Break moment . Were on it. Hi, everybody. First to Rich Edson in wisconsin where Donald Trump is set to speak any moment. Rich. Good morning, david. Theyre just letting the crowds in. Were in mosinee, wisconsin. Its a familiar setting for the president. Theyre doing the rally at a local airport and people are coming in next to the tarmac here. People started lining up a few hours ago, several hours ahead of former President Trumps address here. Were expecting several thousand people to come on in here and theres enough seats and space for all of them. When you talk about wisconsin, youre talking about the Blue Wall and what was really the key to the former president s 2016 victory was puncturing that democrat Blue Wall. Wisconsin is a big part of that. The former president has been hitting crime and the economy of late and spoke to the North Carolina fraternal order of Police Yesterday and the New York economic club where he p
People have been killed and nine others injured in a shooting at a school in georgia, 50 miles north east of atlanta. Police have named a m year old, colt gray, as being the suspect of killing two of his fellow students, and two teachers, at apalachee high school. One eyewitness who lives across from the school described what he saw. Crazy, like it, it looked like. I didn t really pay attention at first, i was like those sound like they were at school, and i look over and the alarm started going off. The school alarms and people were going out around the school. Like, they were doing like the drill, the fire drill stuff. I knew something was seriously wrong then. You don t hear about that happening. You hear about it happening all around the world, but it shows that it can happen anywhere, you know? the local sheriff, jud smith, spoke at a news conference earlier about how the incident will not break the town. I was born and raised here. I went to school in this school system. My kids
