Mind you, with this tie, im not sure what else i could be. Is, in myi am making lifetime, the world has completely transformed the opportunities for lesbians, gay, transsexual, bisexual people in this country. Not is because people did let their ambitions be limited by other peoples prejudices, and it was an enormous delight for me in 2010 to be able to get married in this building, the first game and to be married in this building, and then we had quite a bit of a party at your house, mr. This year, my family has a new member to join in the fun. The customary decorations have changed little in the years since that picture of victoria and Albert Street first appeared. Of course, electric lights have replaced the candles. Itre is an old saying, that is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. There are millions of people lighting candles of hope in our world today. Christmas is a good time to be thankful for them, and for all that brings light to ou ....

There is no reason why today should be any different. I sense that feeling of pride that you have to be here, im confident that you will speak well, or im sure that you will behave impeccably as well. Remember, to all the other members who are observing the proceedings, to teachers, support workers, representatives of the house, aff to me, we are all on your side. We are wishing you well, we are proud of the fact that you are here. I hope you have a great day. I will not be able to call everybody, but i will try to call people from different parts of the u. K. Proportionately and to ensure there is a proper gender balance. I will do everything i can to maximize participation. Thank you for coming, it will be a very special day. Give a warm and enthusiastic welcome to the deputy leader of the house of commons, dr. Therese coffey. [applause] thank you, mr. Speaker, and they continued parliament.
