Governor Parson Fills Three County Office VacanciesOzark Radio News

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – On Friday, October 14, Governor Mike Parson announced appointments to three county office vacancies as well as appointed members to the Health and Educational Facilities Authority of the State of Missouri and the Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners. Melissa Davis, of Charleston, was appointed as the Mississippi County Public Administrator. Ms. Davis has served as a social worker for Charleston Manor since 2014 and has served as the facility's Acting Administrator since 2021. She has nearly 18 years experience as a social worker in long term care facilities. Robert Dobsch, of Washington, was appointed to the Health and Educational Facilities Authority of the State of Missouri. Mr. Dobsch has been the President and Chief Executive Officer for the Bank of Franklin County since 1999. Prior to joining the Bank of Franklin County, he was the Executive Vice-President of Mercantile Bank of Central Missouri. Mr. Dobsch is a member of the Washington 353 Redeve ....

I made up my own route to walk coast-to-coast across the West Country

A totally successful day, from low tide for the walk along Seaton’s beach to finding a bench for our picnic in the warm sun by the River Coly. For the first five miles I was on familiar ground. Holyford Nature Reserve, our local bluebell wood, was a haze of blue and bursting with birdsong. Wild east Devon, which manages this wood, prides itself on its bird-friendliness, with nest boxes and a variety of trees and vegetation to provide habitat for a range of species. It certainly pays off.
