The Fifth Judicial District Court sentenced a Cass County jail escapee who murdered two people and burned a camper with their bodies inside to life in prison without parole. LINDEN, Texas A Texas man who shot and killed two people then burned their camper with their bodies inside has pleaded guilty to capital murder in Cass County, Texas.
The Texas Commission of Jail Standards issued Cass County Jail a notice of non-compliance in September concerning Charles Spraberry's escape. Spraberry, 44, fled on Aug 29, and Caddo Parish Police arrested him on Sep 31. He was a person of interest in a double homicide.
