Coshocton native finding, and saving, Newcomerstown s past Gary Little returns to area to document history By Ray Booth, Special to The Times-Reporter NEWCOMERSTOWN Just as the Tuscarawas River flows past Newcomerstown, much of the river of history of the community flows through Main Street. And it’s that history that has captivated Gary Little to document that history of business upon his return to this area. Little returned to the Newcomerstown area after a successful career in California and wanted to give back to the area that was a large part of his youth. That has resulted in what could be called a massive written history, with pictures, of businesses that have existed in Newcomerstown between 1870 and 1980, those on Main Street and those in other parts of the village. That project is now available for viewing in volumes at the Newcomerstown Public Library. ....
