Joshua, publisher, professor at georgetown, very distinguished distinguished lawyer and author of impeachment, take it away, josh. Thank you all very much for coming, if its okay, i will start by introducing my colleagues in this panel, im joined today by clerk for justice brennan, former chairman , carlisle group, Justice Kennedy, private practice, worked as ausa. Importance for this group because you just called for the impeachment of donald trump. [cheers and applause] i read the Mueller Report debate came up. I went into the afternoon and into the night and into the next morning. When i got to the end, i did not stick my finger in the air and ask about politics. I did not hesitate. I read it. I knew what it said and i concluded, first, that this is a man who is broken the law, and you should be impeached. And i said so on that very day. [applause] i come to you at a moment of great crisis insa this country,a crisis at the time when americans working better and better and better for a thinner and thinner slice at the top, while it leaves everyone else behind. The central question of my life work has been, whats happening to working families in america . Why is the road getting so much rockier and so much steeper . And for families of color, even rockier and even steeper . And answer is, i ....
Going to work toward the creation of a marshal plan to get massive investment in these cities. No matter what our mayors do, for all of the good efforts that are made, unless we can get massive resources in our community, we are not going to be able to solve all the problems. So we must fight for reparations and we must fight for marshal plan. [ applause ] now of course this question of struggling justification is not without controversy. Its complex. Its difficult. And so there are voices who may agree and disagreen a and that fine. Disagreement as long as its constructive and intended to help move the process, it should be welcomed. Nobody ever said it would be comfortable. It has to be creative tension and out of that creative tension comes better partnerships. It sharpens our analysis and our thinking. I want to put that out there. This is not about a blanket endorsement of anyone. It is about an understanding that someone has the right vision, the right direction, because where th ....
