Restaurant openings: Delray steakhouse touts its New York City roots
Nothing says pandemic-era New York invasion more succinctly than the sight of a former New York governor dining at a new Delray Beach steakhouse. The steakhouse, of course, has its own New York story.
Avalon Steak and Seafood is the creation of New York hospitality veteran Curt Huegel, whose Host Restaurants operates eight Manhattan eateries including Bill’s Townhouse and Campagnola. Huegel was a co-founder of the LDV boutique hospitality group, which opened notable New York restaurant brands like Scarpetta and American Cut. (He departed LDV and formed Host Restaurants in 2013.)
