While Friday change does little, restaurants are still optimistic


While Connecticut is in the process of reopening in the post-COVID world, some feel that the changes may be more symbolic than tangible.
Back on March 4, Gov. Ned Lamont announced that COVID-19 restrictions would be eased more Friday. This includes restaurants not having capacity limits, so long as social distancing, face masks and cleaning protocols are followed. Restaurants are also still limited to eight people seated at a table, and must close by 11 p.m.
James Kantzios, co-owner of Asylum St. Pizza in Norwich, said the restaurant isn’t able to open to full capacity. However, that’s tolerable for a business that does mostly pick-up and delivery orders.   ....
