BrodwayWorld has learned that Lempicka will close on Broadway May 19th. The production has struggled to find an audience and has had grosses well below those needed to sustain a Broadway musical of its size.
Lempicka, the sweeping new musical portrait celebrating the gripping true story of renowned artist Tamara de Lempicka, is collaborating with Sotheby’s, the world’s premier destination for art and luxury, in celebration of the renowned artist and the Broadway-bound production.
Eden Espinosa will star in the pop-infused show, which dramatizes the life and career of the trailblazing 20th-century Polish painter Tamara de Lempicka. Read more on New York Theatre Guide.
