Rohingya people celebrating Eid for the first time in Bhasan Char
Rohingyas are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr for the first time at Bhasan Char in Noakhali. They took part in the Eid Jamaat on Friday in a festive mood. About 4,500 Rohingyas performed Eid prayers in two congregations.
The first Eid Jamaat was held at 7:30 am while the second Eid Jamaat at 8:30 am in accordance with the health guidelines at Wire House No. 1. Project director of Bhasan Char and Bhasanchar officials took part in the first Jamaat with the Rohingyas.
Bhasan Char Police Station officer-in-charge said Md. Mahe Alam confirmed this information.
He said a festive mood has been prevailing among the Rohingyas in Bhasan Char since morning on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Although the third congregation was supposed to be held, the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were completed in the first and second congregations.
