Riverdale introduced the possibility of a new serial killer in town, but that should not over shadow the killer who has been haunting Betty since the beginning of the time jump. The Trash Bag Killer or TBK is a murderer Betty was trying to catch for the FBI, though she is the one who ended up getting captured. And now, he s apparently back to his old killing ways. Riverdale?
In the fourth episode of the season, following the time jump, we learn that Betty is an FBI trainee and she was recently on a case trying to capture a serial killer known as the Trash Bag Killer. TBK is known for killing his victims with a chainsaw and then dismembering them, placing their remains in trash bags. He also seems to wear a trash bag-like mask over his head to shield his identity.

Archie wakes up from a crazy dream in a VA hospital in Yonkers, NY. As per usual, it s unclear what year we re in, but we re going with it. It seems Archie was injured at war, though his buddy Corporal Jackson took the brunt of it. As for Archie, they re sending him back home to Riverdale to relaunch the ROTC program at Riverdale High. After apologizing to Jackson, who lost a leg in the mystery accident, Archie hits the road. But what he finds doesn t look like the Riverdale he left behind.
