The moment a tour guide rescued an enormous goanna from a Queensland shopping centre has been captured on camera.  
The Good Samaritan wrangled the giant lizard by the tail as it slid along the tiled floor of Smithfield Shopping Centre in Cairns northern suburbs.
He gently lifted the goanna as it scrabbled in a futile attempt to escape, before carrying it at arms length outside to freedom.
Everyone was impressed by the size of this lizard, and also by the good man who gently carried it to the safety of the bush across the road
