LISBON Changes to the way Ohio workshops operate for those with developmental disabilities have led to greater variety for the clients.
Superintendent Bill Devon of the Board of Development Disabilities said when the state changed from the BDD operating the workshops to more of an oversight role for the clients, he was uncertain about the change which was mandated by the state. In the past the BDD operated three workshops. Now there are 14 workshops in Columbiana County giving people more choices for the types of work they want to learn and the facility that best fits their needs throughout the county. ....
