NSUI workers protested against the BJP over the January 30 mayoral elections after the Supreme Court criticised the presiding officer for defacing ballot papers.
On his petition alleging fraud in BJP’s win and forgery in rejection of the eight votes, the High Court on Wednesday only issued notice and listed the matter after three weeks.
The Chandigarh MC had petitioned against the order of the CGST division of the Union finance ministry, which had ordered freezing of as many as 18 bank accounts of the civic body on September 1, as the GST dues had piled up to ₹3.37 crore till March 2021.
