so they are basically just, you know, swept under the rug. reporter: this former law enforcement officer started the black and missing foundation after seeing too many of these cases ignored. i can roll off chanda levy, natalie holloway, elizabeth smart, haley anthony, gabby patito, but no one can name one person of color that has received that type of mainstream media, not one person. reporter: reports show this bias is especially egregious for indigenous people. in the state of wyoming, where gabby disappeared, more than 700 indigenous people have gone missing in the last decade. but none have received the same focus as her case. it s been rather disheartening. i like this one. reporter: patsy, whose sister has been missing for over 30 years, started her own pot cast called war cry to push for
