As you know, that is the amendment that gives women the right to vote. They werent given because they fought very hard for it but that success was achieved. In august, we will observe the 100th anniversary of women having the right to vote, but today, we are honoring what happened in the house of representatives on this very day. We are very proud of the fact that we have over 100 women in congress now, over 90 women on the democratic side. We made a decision about that a long time ago. And they expect us to ensure that the nearly 2 trillion of historic relief that we have passed in a number of bills is widely and effectively used. That it goes to those who need it the most. And so today, just to put this in historic perspective, at the dawn of world war ii, thensenator harry truman, with a democratic administration, but he was a senator, and he basically said, i knew that after world war i ....
