Newcomer Craig Rivest defeats Mary Ellen Glover in Hampden Select Board race

Rivest won 535 votes to Glover’s 379 in Monday’s election.
“Running for Selectman has been a truly humbling experience that I will cherish forever,” Rivest said in a statement to The Republican. “The amount of support and positivity has been absolutely amazing. I am honored to have been chosen to represent Hampden and have nothing but gratitude for everyone in town.”
Rivest, a photographer and videographer who owns Right Coast Creative LLC, said his goal is to keep that positivity going as Hampden grows as a community. He thanked Glover for her service and encouraged residents to reach out to him with any concerns. ....
