PM to lay foundation stone of housing project on 12th - Newspaper

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of a scheme comprising 4,000 apartments to be built under Phase-I of the LDA City Naya Pakistan Housing Project on March 12.
The PM Office has also confirmed the premier’s arrival in Lahore to the Punjab government as well as the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
“On our request, the PM has expressed willingness to lay the foundation stone [of the project] for the construction of 4,000 apartments,” LDA Vice Chairman S M Imran said in a press release here on Wednesday.
Since the foundation stone laying ceremony would be held at Mauza Halloki, near Ring Road, the LDA has started preparations in this regard. ....

Dozens of contractors and engineering firms have expressed their interest in LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments and other mega projects in the city.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA), on Saturday, opened tenders for the constriction of 768 residential apartments under Package-II of the LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments scheme. Eleven contracting companies, including National Logistic Cell (NLC), Progressive International, Tetra Engineering, Yasin Brothers, Zareef Khan and Co, GPL, and CAE JV, had submitted their proposals for the construction of 24 blocks having 32 apartments each.
LDA Governing Body Technical Member Engineer Amir Riaz Qureshi monitored the tender opening process along with Chief Engineer Abdul Razzaq Chohan, Finance Director Muhammad Akhtar and Audit Director Javed Akhtar. ....

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to acquire services of retired army officials to curb the menace of land grabbing and protection of precious assets.
This decision was made in the second session of LDA governing body meeting for 2021, held under the chair of LDA Vice Chairman S M Imran on Thursday. The meeting decided to restructure the Enforcement Directorate for better implementation of the construction bylaws and protection of government lands. It approved the appointment of retired army officials as director and zonal inspectors for this purpose. ....

The Punjab cabinet has given principle approval of Rs5 billion loan to the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Authority (RUDA) for land acquisition.
The 39th cabinet meeting was held under the chair of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at
CM’s Office on Thursday. LDA Vice Chairman S M Imran and RUDA Chairman Rashid Aziz gave the briefing to the cabinet about Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project.
It also approved for providing state land for the master plan of Ravi Riverfront Urban Development project. The authority will present its business plan and financial model for this purpose. ....
