The greatest threat to U.S. national security comes from China and Russia; that won’t change just because our president does. The 2018 National Defense Strategy, the Senate Armed Services Committee and I have unambiguously endorsed this foundational concept, and President Joe Biden must, too.
If the Biden administration is serious about the security of our nation, it must ensure a strong national defense that will deter China and Russia. That means providing the funding needed to implement the NDS. It means using the bipartisan NDS Commission report as a blueprint. EXIM supports US jobs with LNG export transaction

Building on the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) Board of Directors’ September 2020 unanimous approval of a supply chain transaction, EXIM President and Chairman Kimberly A. Reed recently announced the signing of two final agreements to make the deal – with the first-ever use of a funder guarantee structure – operative and US$50 million available to Houston-based LNG exporter Freeport LNG.
The transaction is estimated to support 200 American jobs, principally in Texas, as well as through supplier networks in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma.
The groundwork for this structure was laid in September 2020, when the EXIM Board of Directors unanimously approved the renewal of EXIM’s partnership with the Private Export Funding Corporation (PEFCO) for 25 years and directed EXIM staff to draft and implement final funder guarantee agreements. ....

President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) Kimberly A. Reed on Friday spoke with U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Ghana Stephanie S. Sullivan regarding EXIM’s role in supporting U.S. exports to Ghana and throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
During the phone call meeting, Chairman Reed and Ambassador Sullivan also discussed EXIM’s new Program on China and Transformational Exports, which directs EXIM to provide financial products to directly neutralize export subsidies offered by the People’s Republic of China, helping to ensure a level playing field for U.S. businesses and workers as they compete global ....
