Former Comelec chairperson Saidamen Pangarungan (File photo) MANILA - A group supporting President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte called on Marcos to reappoint Saidamen Pangarungan as chair of the Commission on Elections (Comelec). In a two-page letter dated June 16 and made public Friday, the officers and members of the BBM SARA UniTeam Coalition believed that Pangarungan is the right person for the job. "We believe that the ideals of Unity will be best achieved with him at the helm of the Comelec. Chairman Pangarungan was appointed by President (Rodrigo) Duterte in the middle of the election period.
