A new survey has put into numbers how much Taiwan likes Taiwan and China. Scoring on a ten-point scale, the survey results found that the US got a 5.55 while China scored a dismal 2.82.
The survey was conducted by the Foundation for the People and comes as tensions between China and US over Taiwan are consistently getting worse.

More than 65 percent of respondents supported extending compulsory military service to one year amid heightened Chinese military activity, a Foundation for the People poll showed yesterday.
Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Chairman Johnny Chiang (江啟臣), who is chairman of the foundation, announced the results at a news conference in Taipei attended by foundation chief executive officer Huang Tzu-che (黃子哲), retired air force lieutenant general Chang Yen-ting (張延廷) and National Chengchi University professor Huang Kwei-bo (黃奎博).

Outgoing Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Chairman Johnny Chiang (江啟臣) yesterday urged residents of Taichung’s Dadu District (大肚) to vote to remove Taiwan Statebuilding Party Legislator Chen Po-wei (陳柏惟) in a recall vote later this month.
The recall against Chen, who represents Taichung’s second electoral district which is made up of Dadu, Shalu (沙鹿), Longjing (龍井), Wufong (霧峰) and Wurih (烏日) districts is to be held on Oct. 23.
The group launching the recall campaign wants the residents of Taichung to reconsider their choice and elect someone who truly speaks for the people, Chiang said.
