Ben Walsh gets minor party endorsement as he seeks ballot access in re-election bid

Walsh has received the backing of the Independence Party of New York.
Walsh, who is not registered with a political party, said Monday he’ll pass independent nominating petitions this spring to create a ballot line for the party.
“We will put the Independence Party back on the ballot, and my name will be on it,” he said. ....
