First it was starfish, then it was chairs. This summer chairs will be back, the Sandwich Arts Alliance having insightfully decided that after the year that was 2020, we all need a place to sit down and relax.
The 2021 Adirondack Chair Trail, modeled after the 2019 event, will return this summer with chairs on display throughout the town of Sandwich from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
In 2019 artists decorated 20 chairs; this yearâs event will feature 26 chairs.
Adirondack chairs were chosen as a âcanvasâ for artists to decorate in 2019 because in addition to being a suitable surface for artists to work on, they are functional and useful to individuals and businesses when sold at auction.
