Standardbred owner Dan Walker of Cold Creek Standardbred, in Grafton, got a phone call from his trainer, Murray Brethour of Sunderland, about a week after Walker acquired a yearling in the late fall of 2020.
The Glamour Boys wrapped up their Ontario Sires Stakes Gold season on Friday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park with Cold Creek Queso punching his return ticket to the Milton oval for the Super Final on Oct. 15 with an impressive three-length win in a $100,400 division.
Familiar faces were back in the winner’s circle in Friday evening’s (Aug. 26) Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Gold leg for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The glamour boys were at Georgian Downs tonight for a pair of Ontario Sires Stakes Gold divisions, and the father-son duo of Gregg and Doug McNair was victorious in each.
