Earlier this month a judge issued an arrest warrant for a Yellowknife businessman. The warrant was issued after Liang Chen failed to show up for court for two lawsuits filed against him.
Yellowknife parents and guardians can start booking vaccine appointments for their five- to 11-year-old children beginning today at 5:30 p.m., said the N.W.T. health minister.
N.W.T. health authorities are expanding the list of people eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose to include Yellowknife residents 50 and over, and all other territorial residents who are 40 and over.
Routine vaccinations in the N.W.T. are being pushed back to Nov. 5, including for infants, as the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority redeploys staff for flu clinics and COVID-19 vaccinations.
The territory's health and social services authority announced it will expand the eligibility for COVID-19 booster shots beginning Monday. Meanwhile, the COVID-19 case count in the territory went down slightly from Thursday.
