Although the city has launched the new system, facilities and programs are still shut down by COVID-19 (TBNewswatch file) THUNDER BAY The City of Thunder Bay has announced a new online registration system for recreation programs and facilities. Residents are able to create their own accounts to search, register and pay for upcoming programs and memberships online. The system uses new software in place of the previous version which had become obsolete. Andrea Morrison, the manager of Central Support Services, said it s considerably more user-friendly than the old system. There will be things that people can self-serve, so that rather than having to call or go in person, they ll be able to look at program schedules, purchase memberships and different things like that. Before it was a registration hot-line or in-person registration, she explained in an interview Wednesday. ....
