Justice has caught up to a 27-year-old who is facing a string of new and previous charges including Break & Enter with Intent, Sexual Assault, and robbery charges.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Winnipeg Police Service s Central District Community Support Unit was patrolling in the 600 block of Toronto Street when they saw a man enter a house they knew was unoccupied.
Approaching the vacant house, officers took the suspect into custody, where they discovered he was carrying a 5” improvised firing device (“zip gun”) loaded with a .22 calibre cartridge. At this time, officers learned the 27-year-old had two outstanding warrants for previous activities.  ....
