Spotswood council authorizes change order to remove material from DeVoe Lake Spotswood council authorizes change order to remove material from DeVoe Lake SPOTSWOOD–In one of the latest moves to reconstruct its notable lake, Spotswood’s Borough Council approved a resolution authorizing a change order for the DeVoe Lake Dredging Project phase one. On Oct. 8, 2020, in accordance with the resolution passed by the borough and Notice of Award, CME Associates advised SumCO Eco-Contracting of the borough’s award for the contract in the amount of $1.85 million for the base bid of the project, according to the council. In the engineer’s report dated April 1, CME Associates Engineer Bruch Koch said the contractor is working on the dredging and stockpiling of materiel. CME Associates has been coordinating with the borough and the contractor to review additional dredging work. ....

The borough had appointed Daniel Samuel of CME Associates, Inc. to serve as borough engineer for a term that ended on Dec. 31, according to the council. The borough had authorized CME to perform professional engineering and survey services for improvements to Sloan Road, Charles Street, Carol Lane, Brian Lane, Rainbow Lane, Eisenhower Avenue, Patton Place, Halsey Place, MacArthur Place, Manhattan Avenue and Ertle Avenue, according to the council. ....
