A heat advisory is in effect for today, likely record breaking high temperatures as we head through the afternoon. Mid to upper 90s to triple digit heat inland. Around the bay heating to the low 90s and even along the coast in the low to mid 80s. Because of this extreme heat, Santa Clara Cooling Centers will be open today starting at 10 00 a. M. Murphy Park Building at 11 00. Cupertino Senior Center and Mountain ViewCommunity Center at 1 00 to help folks beat the heat with the hot temperatures.
