Bloodlands' James Nesbitt felt 'wasted' Brexit money should have gone to Troubles victims | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

While Nesbitt’s family were largely unaffected due to living in the countryside, his sister and father narrowly dodged a car bomb explosion in the Seventies.
As a child of the Troubles-era, the star has taken a keen interest in the aftermath of those difficult times.
He’s also been a very outspoken champion of reunification and hopes for a “new union of Ireland”.
Nesbitt, who holds both an Irish and British passport, claimed he only began to see himself as Irish after he moved from County Antrim, where he was born, to London.

Patrick Stewart fury over Brexit result: 'Grimmest thing and disgrace'

Three years after the British public voted to leave the EU, the actor stood up before a crowd in Paris to denounce the results of the referendum.
Sir Patrick moaned that it was “disgusting” to see Britons vote to “break” the “invaluable connection” between the UK and the EU.
He admitted to taking part in a march for a second referendum in London in 2019.
Sir Patrick also argued that more of the nation wanted to remain – despite the clear results from the first vote.
He told the 2019 Comic-Con audience: “I want you to know that well more than half of the population of the United Kingdom wants to stay in the European Union.” ....

Gordon Ramsay felt Brexit would 'give Britain big kick up a*** and stop being lazy'

Ramsay revealed that he voted Leave in the EU referendum more than four years ago, alongside 52 percent of the British public.
The TV star felt that Brexit could lead to a reduction in multinational workers but that would force the nation to focus on homegrown talent.
His comments were specifically targeted at some people in the hospitality industry, who he branded “lazy”.
Ramsay argued that the “level of influx” of people from outside of the country “sort of confirmed how lazy as a nation we are”.
