KUALA LUMPUR: The proposal to nominate Chinese new villages in Selangor to be given Unesco World Heritage Site status should not be turned into a racial issue, says Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
The move to allow a dual network model for 5G instead of a single one is a viable proposition for Malaysia’s digital future in line with global trends.
PETALING JAYA: Axiata Group Bhd’s earnings quality is set to decline following the completion of the proposed merger between the Malaysian operations of Axiata under Celcom and Telenor’s controlled Digi.com Bhd.
KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 20): Axiata Group Bhd's credit profile is increasingly likely to weaken, according to S&P Global Ratings. In a statement on Monday (Sept 19), the rating agency said the proposed merger between Celcom Axiata Bhd (Axiata's Malaysia unit) with Digi.com Bhd is now a step closer to completion. “In our view, this transaction will erode the earnings quality of Axiata. “An acquisition-fueled increase in leverage adds further pressure to Axiata's credit profile,” it said.
