Those officers fired back, and tonight that gunman is in the hospital. Nbc 10s Denise Nakano has been uncovering new details since she first reported this story as breaking news at 6 00. You spoke to neighbors who almost got caught in the crossfire. Reporter it was a mother and daughter and it was a close call. One of the bullets came within inches of hitting that young girls head. A wreck. It was scary. Very scary. Reporter a panicked natasha scrambled to account for each of her four children when bullets lit up her block.
