Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer says on Wednesday, 27-year-old Roberto Alcazar-Sanchez of Jackson, surrendered to United States Customs and Border Patrol Protection Agents.

Authorities are continuing their search for a man who was charged Wednesday in a fatal hit-and-run that killed an 81-year-old woman.
Roberto Alcazar-Sanchez, 27, of Jackson, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado on Dec. 24 around 6 p.m. when he collided with a 2010 Mercedes Benz in Jackson Township as the other driver was making a left turn from Route 195 onto Cedar Swap Road, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has said. He then fled the scene, authorities said.
Alcazar-Sanchez is charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license while being involved in a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, prosecutors said. ....

Authorities looking for driver in Christmas Eve hit-and-run that killed 81-year-old woman

Authorities are trying to locate the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Christmas Eve that killed an 81-year-old woman, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said on Monday.
Roberto Alcazar-Sanchez, 27, of Jackson, is believed to have been driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado on Thursday around 6 p.m. Thursday when he collided with a 2010 Mercedes Benz in Jackson Township as the other driver was making a left turn from I-195 onto Cedar Swap Road, the prosecutor’s office said.
Alcazar-Sanchez then fled the scene on foot and is being now being sought, authorities said. ....
