Due to a spike in covid cases across the country, many states in India have decided to postpone the Class X and Class XII board exams following requests from students, parents, and teachers. The Board exams for CBSE classes 10 and 12 which were scheduled to begin in May have been postponed. Delhi, Maharastra, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh have already postponed the State board exams.
The Delhi government has postponed exams for Classes IX and XI and exams are now are scheduled to be held in offline mode. The Maharastra government has announced the postponement of exams and said Class XII exams will be held by end of May, while the 10th standard exams will be in June. Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad also postponed the Board exams, which were scheduled to start from April 24.
