A $500,000 lift will help accelerate the design of the proposed Pioneer Valley Mountain Bike Trail.
“This is a Labor election commitment which once completed will have 100km of track linking Eungella to Finch Hatton providing a great visitor experience for both families and serious trail riders, new jobs and $18m for the Mackay region’s economy,” Ms Gilbert posted.
Ms Gilbert said Mad Mountain Bike Club riders were “very excited” to practise on the new facility and prepare for competitions.
“Finch Hatton is planned as the trail hub with carparking, shuttle services, change rooms, an event space and possibly a cafe, in future stages,” she stated. ....
