Memorial Day fundraiser to be held

AVON-In addition to the Memorial Day parade to the Avon cemetery at 11a.m., the Avon Firemen will serve lunch at the Fire Station from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, May 31. The menu includes pork chops, hot dogs, chips, baked beans, cole slaw and drinks. In addition, the Angels in Action will serve homemade pie and desserts.
The Angels will also have raffles. The winners of these raffles will be drawn at 1 p.m. Memorial Day. Chances will be $1 each or six for $5.
Raffles will include a child s quilt and pillow made and donated by Brenda Boydstun and Elaine Kramer, an Illini lap quilt made and donated by Cathy Ruff and Elaine Kramer, a child s wall hanging made and donated by Brenda Boydstun, a Cultivate Kindness lap quilt made and donated by Cathy Ruff, a Scentsy coffee grinder donated by Marilyn Melhouse, a Yeti Tundra 45 cooler which was the Angels 2019 team incentive prize, and Wrapsody wireless head phones which were the Ange
