Halliburton, the Oil Services Company is cutting 6. 5 percent to eight percent of its workforce. No layoffs planned due to the baker hughes deal, but this is because of the Challenging Market environment. Those were the exact words used by the company. Total had come total headcount at halliburton is about 80,000. The Houston Business Journal reported halliburton would be cutting between 5000 and 6000 jobs.
