Co-founder and Executive Director Amanda Oden said the home is serving its first group of young women.
“We have connected some of our mothers to jobs here in the local community, Oden said. We ve also connected them with mental health services. And we ve also included any educational goals . to attain outside of high school education.”
The home, at 7705 Park Ave., helps teen moms who are just leaving foster care, homeless or financially at risk get the support they and their newborns need to build a stable and productive life.
The house has three bedrooms two with two beds and another with one big bed for mother and child. A caretaker is on staff mornings and nights.
