A brewery in Lewisham that employs and trains people with learning disabilities has been turned into a rapid Covid-19 test centre.
The test centre at Ignition Brewery in Sydenham started offering Covid-19 tests to anyone without symptoms who must leave home for work from March 1.
The opening times of the new centre are 9:30 am to 4 pm on a weekday and 9:30 am to 2 pm on the weekend, with evening appointments offered on Tuesday and Thursday.

Third rapid Covid test centre opening in Lewisham

Rapid coronavirus tests are being offered to people without symptoms who need to leave home to work in Lewisham.
A third rapid test centre is opening at Deptford Lounge on Monday, February 15, providing results by email or text messages within 30 minutes.
Lewisham Council is urging residents who need to leave home to work, volunteer or who are unpaid carers to get tested twice a weekly to help protect those around them.
Dr Catherine Mbema, Director of Public Health for Lewisham, said: “Since we introduced rapid testing in Lewisham, over seven thousand residents have received a rapid test at one of our sites. ....

Lewisham is set to open its usual base for council meetings as a testing centre, the overview and scrutiny business panel was told on Tuesday (December 15).
The Civic Suite in Catford will be used as a new testing centre for Covid-19 using the rapid lateral flow devices.
It’s hoped it will be ready before Christmas.
Lewisham’s head of public services, Ralph Wilkinson, explained the plans as he updated the committee on the council’s response to Covid-19.
“We’re doing our best to get that live before Christmas but it’s a massive task to kit it out, you’ve got to recruit and train staff, and we’ve got to make sure it operates properly,” he said. ....
