Decades are an overlook period of lds in missouri history when latterday saints traversed hundreds of miles across across the state despite a government extermination threat issued by the governor. Woods has been a professor of Church History and doctrine at Brigham Young University Since 1998. He specializes in latterday saint immigration studies. And is the editor of saints by the sea saints by the sea website which documents lds maritime immigration in america in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
