Abstract
Nontuberculous mycobacterium pulmonary disease is difficult to treat and there are currently no agreed standards of care. In the absence of such standards, a respiratory team has adapted existing guidance for the management of mycobacterium tuberculosis to use as a framework for patients with nontuberculous mycobacterium pulmonary disease. This article discusses this framework and explores the epidemiology and diagnosis of the disease. ....
