McCarthy Square Pharmacy in New Bern closes after 26 years
Customers will find themselves being directed to a new pharmacy when they call McCarthy Square Pharmacy for their refills.
McCarthy Square Pharmacy’s closed it doors on July 7, 2021 after serving the community for more than 26 
According to a letter posted on the pharmacy’s Facebook page, owners Dave and Joanna Davis have made the decision to retire.
“I lost both my parents in 2019 and we thought about retiring then”, said Dave Davis. “Then COVID happened six months later”, he said.
Davis said his main concern was for his customers. He said he just could not do that to his customers. The business offered a service that many pharmacies today do not offer delivery. ....
