A study that was commissioned by the Gambling Authority of Botswana (GAB) has revealed that Batswana shun and ‘generally hold a negative perception and opinion towards gambling.’ According to the study, this may be due to limited knowledge of what casino gambling is. It said most Batswana are of the view that gambling is a license to steal and meant to own and control people.
